Kapiti Island Photo Trip – Full Day

The single space advertised on 29 April, has been taken.

After a bus trip from Wellington to Paraparaumu beach we will board a ferry to Kapiti Island, one of New Zealand’s most valuable nature reserves.

Once on the island we will receive an introductory briefing over morning tea. Following this is a guided walk where we will learn about the natural and human history of the island.

We then have about 5 hours for independent exploration and photography before the ferry takes us back to our bus at Paraparaumu beach.

Notes

1. Early registration for this trip is essential as numbers visiting the island are limited and Department of Conservation permits are issued on a first come first served basis.
2. The costs of this special trip are fully recovered from participants as an addition to the standard registration. This additional fee covers the bus, ferry to the island, morning tea, lunch and Department of Convervation permits.
3. Active fitness and mobility required.
